How to get to Menarola

Getting to Menarola is not difficult.

From Milan

Take State Road 36 - a comfortable highway - to the large junction of Fuentes, near Colico.

There you go out to continue in the direction of Chiavenna, reaching Gordona..

To the North of the town, signposted, a road climbs along the Crezza torrent.

You cross the village of Coloredo and climb along the wood.

The village of Menarola is in turn divided into numerous small inhabited areas. Points of reference are the two churches: the first is located in Castanedi at about 750 m altitude, the second - the one that once was the "center" of the community - is situated in a beautiful location near Foppo, about 1000 m quote.

Coming from the Maloja Pass or the Spluga Pass

In Chiavenna, take the road to Gordona (the provincial road called Trivulzia) leaving the highway.

Reach Gordona and climb towards Menarola.
